We are thrilled to announce that the festival formerly known as the NanoCon International Film Festival will now be known as the Northwest International Film Festival (NIFF)!
This change reflects our expanded vision and commitment to celebrating filmmakers from across the nation and around the world while continuing to honor the incredible talent and stories from our local Pacific Northwest region. We are embracing a broader scope, welcoming more filmmakers, and creating new opportunities for audiences, judges, and collaborators.
What This Means for You:
- More opportunities for filmmakers to submit their work
- Expanded programming, including new special film categories
- A stronger platform for local artists to gain international recognition
We are proud of our roots and remain dedicated to fostering creativity, cultural exchange, and community engagement through film. The new name marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for NIFF, and we can’t wait to share it with you at NIFF 2026, taking place September 24 – October 5, 2026.
